Welcome to VeggyTables
VeggyTables are made from Solid Cedar timber sourced from Canada and the UK. Cedar has naturally high levels of oil which preserves the timber without the need for any chemical treatment.
The fixings are all exterior grade Stainless Steel. Equally, we do not supply a plastic liner, the base slats are also cedar with narrow gaps for drainage, to avoid waterlogging when it rains (this is the UK!). Watering is a daily job, but you can also watch your plants grow
VeggyTables are available in two basic forms, but can be customised by colouring with organic non toxic stain or personalised with text, names or dates within the constraints of the timber length.
The "Classic" VeggyTable is approximately 6" x 4' x 2' x 3' (depth x length x width x height) to the top edge (about kitchen worktop height). This a comfortable working height for most people.
However, if you would like a different height this can be customised to your requirements, for example for wheelchair access.

VeggyTables are ideal for growing salad plants such as lettuces, radishes, rocket and spring onions. However root crops can be grown, especially if the VeggyTable extension is used to increase the soil depth.
